News and Notes

The January 18, 2024 meeting was well-attended and covered many topics. The 2024 Art Competition awards were made; blue ribbon winners will progress to the District Competition at the February District meeting. The 2024 budget was approved by the membership, South Port Square gave a presentation on their senior living facility in Port Charlotte, the 2023 Volunteer of the Year, Rachele Adler, was announced. 2024 Leads candidates were presented - Linda Hall and Gloria Rogoski. CSP chairs provided updates on their activities. Seventeen members were honored for perfect attendance at general meetings during 2023. Our support for the Lemon Baking Content at the February 10th Cracker Fair was announced with everyone encouraged to attend. Valentine cards for Heritage Oaks were created and signed and much more. Whew, it was a active, exciting meeting.

The Tonettes recently performed at Inglenook in Englewood. The residents sang along with gusto! We are very proud of the Tonettes and the fun they share in our community.
